Conscious Spaces - Conscious Living

Think of your home differently...

Unexpected Living by Marianna Beck Holistic Home Design, Conscious Spaces - Conscious Living / Think of your home differently

There are homes or other places where we just simply feel comfortable and at ease. You cannot quite put your finger on the why, you cannot - at least on the surface - find the logical reason of it, you just feel it. Feelgood spaces - as we usually call them.

Rest assured it is down to good design - but a bit of a different kind of good design. It is not only a carefully considered and thoroughly executed design that pays attention to even the smallest details but it also looks behind the usual design elements and solutions incorporating the 'heart and soul' of the space and of those who use that space. In my opinion when it comes to your home there is no such thing as insignificant element and there is no such thing as 'trend'. If you do not feel well and happy in your home it affects all of the other areas of your life. You can spend as much many on design and decoration as you can, you can apply all the fancy trends in terms of colours, style and decor items - it might look magazine cover-worthy but your home somehow will still give off an off-vibe.

It happens mostly because you and your home (or the space where you spend most of your time) make up a dynamic energy system. It is practically an energy exchange system. If you have problems with yourself and your life sooner or later your home will reflect this. And vica versa - if you do not like and enjoy your home for whatever reasons the signs of it will gradually appear in your life feeling unhappy, restless, disorientated. This can even lead to mental health and eventually physical problems in the long run.

So, make sure your home is your sanctuary, your safe and beautiful source of happy and healthy life. Be conscious about how your home looks and feels like, whether it supports all your needs and promotes your general wellbeing.

Especially these days when we are forced to spend unusually long time in the space we call our home.

How do you know it?

Ask yourself whether you enjoy being home, spending time in the different rooms, whether you feel joy and contented when you think of your home, whether you look forward to returning home after work or a holiday. These are all telltale signs of the quality of connection and dynamic between you and your home.

To help you understand better and dig a bit deeper into this special 'relationship' I have created a guide and workbook, the Home Harmony Starter Kit that you can freely download.

Styling and Decorating - Express Yourself

You might have a newly purchased home that needs a full styling service or you already have the big pieces in place but the interior still lacks that "wow" factor and need some help with the smaller details.

Perhaps you just need a sort of design remix to refresh your space and give it a new look.

Or alternatively you are about to sell or rent your property and wish to make it more appealing and valuable for possible buyers and renters.
